You met our daughter, Monique, at the "brain cancer support group" in Vancouver in 2014. After you found out that Mo was from Squamish, you volunteered & insisted to pick her up for the meetings. You took her under your wings like a big brother!
Once a month, you made the trek from Whistler, picked up Mo & her baby daughter, Sylvie, & headed out to Vancouver. We had the pleasure to meet you many times over the years as you helped Mo to drop off our granddaughter, Sylvie, at our condo while you both attended the meetings.
Mo was so thankful for your kindness and she used to tell us how much she enjoyed her time with you....that she looked forward to it every month.
You two had a lot in common....keen sense of humor....lots of laughs!!! You were both determined to "beat this shit" as you would put it!! You also both shared the love of sports. But your main topic was about family & how proud you were of them.
It was the love & support of family, friends & the community that gave you both the encouragement & strength to keep fighting!!
You had a "Huge" part in our daughter's life, Al, and we will be forever grateful.
