Wow such shocking news I'm sure too many. We never know what lifes hands us. My memories of growing up have continued to make me happy. The Paul family have been a big part of my happy memories. I was fortunate to become life long friends with Janice through growing up at Clayton lake in the summers. Got to meet you through the times at the lake and then playing and working at the Paul farm. You were so cute and so funny. Do you remember us all sleeping out in tents and waking up to the cows around us. I remember haying and Geof bringing the bales to the barn for us to stack them in the barn. Loved helping with the milking chores. Your dad was awesome like Jim. The two of them made me laugh and I remember them and their smiles and laugh. I learned so much from everyone. Your mom Eleanor and Betty were so nice to me. My childhood would not be as memorable if your family hadn't come into my life. God puts people in your life for a reason. I never question it anymore. I wait for the reason to show it's self. I'm thankful you and your family became part of who I am today and I have never forgotten any of your family. I'm thankful for getting to see you at Jim's funeral. It brought back a flood of wonderful childhood memories. I was so happy to have seen you and the family under the sad circumstances. I pray someday we will all meet again and have that great big reunion in the sky. I will continue to keep you in my memories and share stories with Janice as we grow older. Thank you for my memories. Sending love and prayers of strength for your family and you.â€đđđ»â€

On Thursday June 10th, 2021, in the twelfth round of a ten year match, just before the ding of the bell, Al Paul packed up his big heart, stubborn soul, radiant smile, crossed the ropes, and walked away from his battle with brain cancer.
â
Al left the world the way he lived in it, on his own terms and with his wife and son by his side. “Armed with will, and determination and grace too.”
He is neck deep in powder now, or shooting the round of his life with any angel lucky enough to join him.
Al wanted everyone to know that life is beautiful, worth every adventure you
say yes to, and a perfect day can be as large as a long walk up a mountain or as simple as a movie day on the couch with the people you love. Also (and he really can’t stress this enough): He was the best skier on the mountain.
